About HelloCars
HelloCars is a Sydney-based online car retailer that also runs a subscription service in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, with Newcastle and Wollongong pages too. Subscriptions start from around $149 a week, with lower weekly rates for longer terms, and a Premium tier for luxury models.
The weekly fee includes registration, insurance, servicing, maintenance and roadside assistance. Fuel, tolls and kilometres beyond your plan's weekly allowance are extra, and unused kilometres do not roll over. Applications are free, but some plans carry an establishment fee of about $405, and every plan requires a refundable security deposit of at least $507.50. Up to five nominated drivers can be added for a weekly fee.
The minimum term is 30 days (six months for Premium), and 30 days' written notice is needed to return the car; leaving early incurs termination fees. Eligibility is assessed online with ID and credit checks. It suits drivers who want delivery and a monthly-style commitment rather than a multi-year loan.
