About carbar
carbar is an Australian car subscription and online car marketplace offering a wide range of new and used vehicles on a fixed weekly payment. Its listings span mainstream and premium brands, from Toyota, Mazda, Kia and Hyundai through to BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Tesla and Land Rover, and it also offers novated leases, novated subscriptions and fleet plans for businesses.
There is no fixed contract: you can stop or swap with two weeks' notice. The weekly fee covers registration and government charges, comprehensive insurance, routine servicing and maintenance, mechanical faults, worn tyres and batteries within fair wear and tear, and 24/7 roadside assistance. Fuel or charging, tolls and infringements are extra. An upfront fee is payable on ordering and the minimum initial cost is that fee plus four weeks' payments.
Drivers must be over 21 and hold a P2 licence or higher. Cars are collected from carbar's Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane offices. It suits drivers who want choice of models and a short exit window, but reviews suggest checking fees and vehicle condition carefully at handover.
