Portugal's flexible car market has grown out of its strong rental and renting sectors. Alongside traditional renting contracts of two to five years, several providers now offer monthly subscriptions (subscrição or aluguer mensal) that bundle insurance, maintenance, tyres, the annual circulation tax (IUC) and periodic inspection into a single fee.
