> Car subscriptions in France explained: who offers abonnement voiture and location moyenne durée, what is included, typical terms and what to check first.

In France, car subscriptions sit between short-term rental and traditional long-term leasing (LLD). Offers are marketed as an abonnement voiture or as location moyenne durée (LMD), typically running from one or two months up to 18 or 24 months. The monthly price usually bundles the car, insurance, maintenance and assistance, while fuel, tolls and fines remain your responsibility.
